Cook’s Host Meeting of the Presbytery of Charlotte

The Meeting included honoring the indigenous people who first inhabited this area, hearing about mission activities near and far where our churches are engaged, welcoming new Candidates into various levels of preparation for Ordained Ministry, and worshipping God through scripture and sermon, celebrating the Sacrament of Holy Communion, and singing inspirational Music. Both the Choir and a full sanctuary provided great complement for lifting our voices in praise and thanksgiving!

A very successful Meeting of the Presbytery of Charlotte occurred at Cook’s Memorial on Tuesday, May 21. Wonderful volunteers, approximately 50 from Cook’s and another dozen from Pleasant Grove and Newell, actively anticipated the Big Day for about four months. “Ambassadors for Christ” prepared the most delicious lunch of smoked BBQ with sides and dessert for about 160 very happy people!

We feel strengthened by the support, encouragement, and mutual outreach when we get together. Thank you, to all who contributed so much to helping the day go smoothly!
