Our Mission
We believe each child is a child of God and should have every opportunity to develop physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially and spiritually to their fullest potential.
Our Philosophy
We believe that children learn best through play and active participation in daily activities and schedules. Our school is centered on the knowledge that children learn through active manipulation of the environment and concrete experiences. The age appropriate activities and materials provide your child the opportunity for individual growth and participation in decision making, development of self-esteem, and establishment of Christian values. We emphasize child-centered activities, outdoor play, gross motor activities and sensory play.
About Us
Cook’s Playschool has served the area and community for over 50 years. Our staff is made up of very experienced and dedicated professionals. They are carefully chosen for their ability to provide skilled care that recognizes each child’s individuality and unique needs. We are here to create a safe, loving, caring and stimulating environment for every child. Our classrooms are staffed with a minimum of two teachers to provide maximum supervision and learning for all students. We are aware of the ever-changing needs of today’s families and are great at providing new ideas and resources to be used in our playschool. The staff communicates regularly with parents to keep them up-to-date on classroom activities, as well as provides weekly reports, photographs and monthly calendars with the use of Shutterfly. Parents also receive a school-wide monthly newsletter and have the option to join our Facebook site.

Monthly Bible Themes and Character Traits
Each month all classes will emphasize a Bible Theme. The Tremendous Three’s and Fantastic Four’s class will attend the Children’s Worship Center with the Pastor or a special visitor. Bible Themes are kept on a child friendly basis and include, Noah’s Ark, Daniel and The Lion’s Den, JESUS’ Birthday, Joseph and His Coat, Easter, Zaccheus, and Jonah and The Whale just to name a few. We also highlight a monthly Character Trait like….Manners, Respect, Lovable, Responsible, Honesty, etc.
Monthly Missions
Each month the children and parents will have the opportunity to help with local missions. The children make cards monthly for the “Homebound” and “Shut-ins” at Cook’s Church. The cards are mailed and loved by all that receive them. We also join Cook’s Church in offering the opportunity to donate a designated food item each month to “Loaves and Fishes” food pantry and collections for “The Lily Pad Haven”, ( a safe home for those escaping human trafficking). There are also various “special” collections throughout the year in which you can help others.
