Mary, Did You Know
Bible Text: Colossians 3:12-17; Luke 2:41-52 | Pastor: Guest | One of the most popular if not the most popular “sacred” Christmas songs to come out in recent years is “Mary Did You Know” by Mark Lowrey and Buddy Greene. Mark Lowry was thinking about Mary and whether or not she realized who Jesus was. He wrote down his questions in the form of a poem and gave them to his friend Buddy Greene, and the song “Mary Did You know” was born. Mark asks, at the moment of Jesus’ birth, if Mary knew that one day this baby would walk on water, save our sons and daughters, give sight to a blind man, calm a storm with his hand, had walked where angels trod. He asks “Mary did you know you have kissed the face of God?”
